Alex Moe Flowers is a seasoned media and communications strategist with more than a decade of journalism experience covering Congress, campaigns, and breaking news for NBC News. A former Capitol Hill producer and political journalist, she led editorial coverage of the House of Representatives for seven years and played a central role in the network’s reporting on politics and policy. Alex traveled extensively covering campaigns in key battleground states and was a campaign embed reporter during the 2012 presidential election. While working as a field producer based in New York, she reported on countless stories including the Boston Marathon bombings, the Newtown shooting and the World Series.
Alex’s work has been Emmy-nominated and earned her an Edward R. Murrow Award for Breaking News. She holds dual bachelor degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Government & Politics from the University of Maryland.
