P2 Public Affairs Announces Addition of Principals Scott Paradise, Chris Hartline, Katie Miller, and Allison Harris

Firm adds two battle-tested national political strategists, a communications expert, and an Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalist

Washington, DC (September 27, 2023) – P2 Public Affairs today announced the addition of four new principals to the firm: Scott Paradise, Chris Hartline, Katie Miller, and Allison Harris. The four will play a crucial role advising clients and expanding strategic communications, crisis communications, and comprehensive public affairs management services.

Scott Paradise, Principal

Paradise joins the firm with nearly two decades of experience in high-leverage political campaigns and corporate public relations projects. A native Kansan and Georgia-transplant, Paradise founded a consulting and strategic communications firm in 2015 and has provided strategic consulting and communications support for top Senate and Presidential campaigns across the country.

Scott has worked in a senior capacity on dozens of successful Senate, Gubernatorial, House and statewide campaigns, including Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, Kansas Senator Jerry Moran and Mississippi Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann. Most recently, Scott guided Herschel Walker’s Senate Campaign in Georgia.

Chris Hartline, Principal

Hartline is a battle-tested communications professional with more than a decade of experience on political campaigns, in government, on both sides of Capitol Hill and advising major corporations and non-profits. He joins P2 with recent experience serving as a Senior Advisor to Florida Senator Rick Scott’s upcoming re-election campaign. Hartline has also served as Communications Director at the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Communications Director in the office of Sen. Rick Scott. Having served in a variety of high-profile communications roles on Capitol Hill and on campaigns around the country, Hartline possesses a deep and comprehensive understanding of the intersection between politics and policy and brings valuable talent to the firm.

Katie Miller, Principal

Katie Miller is a political advisor who served as Communications Director for the Vice President of the United States Mike Pence from 2020 to 2021. Previously, she served as his Press Secretary from 2019 to 2020. Miller has also served as Press Secretary for Senator Steve Daines, Spokeswoman and Communications Director for Senator Martha McSally, and Deputy Press Secretary for the United States Department of Homeland Security during the tenure of Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen from November 2017 to February 2019. She also served as Press Assistant for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

Allison Harris, Principal

Harris joins P2 from the cable news network, News Nation, where she was the first White House Correspondent for the outlet. She is an Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalist with more than a decade of experience reporting live on breaking news and high-profile stories. Harris’s reporting has also been Emmy-nominated and recognized by the National Press Club.

Harris has covered thousands of stories for viewers across the country from the White House, including on the COVID-19 pandemic, America’s exit from Afghanistan and the first war in Europe since World War II. Her broadcast journalism career was launched in local news, including in her hometown of Dallas, Texas at KDFW, where she covered Texas politics, Hurricane Harvey, Super Bowl LI, the NFL Draft and shootings in Dallas, Sutherland Springs, El Paso and Odessa.
