Generra Grimes

Partner & President

Generra Grimes is a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 chief executives, boards, and senior leadership teams navigating their most consequential reputational, political, and public policy challenges. As Managing Partner of P2 Public Affairs, she counsels leaders on reputation strategy, crisis communications, and issue positioning across business, government, and public opinion.

Generra brings the discipline of high-stakes campaigns to corporate counsel. Her clients rely on her to anticipate how an issue will play out with policymakers, the media, and the public, and to act decisively when the stakes are highest. She has guided leaders through moments of intense scrutiny, built coalitions that changed the course of major policy debates, and positioned organizations to lead on the issues that define their industries.

Her judgment was shaped by leading some of the most closely watched campaigns in the country. She served as Campaign Manager for Governor Ron DeSantis’ historic 2022 re-election, a nearly 20-point victory that included record margins among women, Hispanic, and Independent voters. She has since served as a senior strategist to multiple Super PACs and independent expenditure campaigns supporting President Trump and the Republican Congress. Earlier, as Executive Director of Trade Works for America, she led the award-winning national campaign that helped secure passage of the USMCA trade agreement. She is also a co-founder of Building America’s Future, previously served as chief strategist to Right Direction America, and has held senior roles in government and the nonprofit sector.

Generra earned her MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond.
